With three stages of entertainment the Willow Tree Festival in Gordon Nebraska doesn’t hold back! Along with some serious ART, Crafts, roving acts (yours truly) the festival included a Stilt Party with dozens of stilts and even a pillow fight at the children’s stage!
Located in the sandhills of Nebraska, Gordon is a town of about 2500 people. I think they all turn out for the festival. This was their 29th year celebrating!
The Cowboy Museum is a blast from the past, and well worth a visit. The old saddles and brands are something else. The 800 piece salt and pepper shaker collection is a sight to behold!
On the way to Gordon, I stopped in Alliance and took some more photos of CarHenge.
This was my second visit to the prairie sentential. Here’s a photo from my first visit under cloudy skies.
Several additional cars are outside the main circle. These “outsider” cars serve as canvas for aspiring artists as seen here.
